Members of Central High School’s chapter of the Future Business Leaders
of America recently earned top honors in the National FBLA Leadership
Conference in Nashville.
Students Ramya Gopalakrishnan, Madeline Grunin and Monik Walters all received recognitions at the event.
Grunin placed second in the Digital Design and Promotion competition.
Students had to create an original corporate identity and promotional
items for a fictitious company. Then, they had to sell their concepts in
a multimedia presentation in the final round.
Gopalakrishnan and Walters placed seventh in the Business Plan
competition. Students created a plan for an original start-up business
of their choice.
“These students competed against the best and brightest from all over
the country,” Central High School FBLA adviser Mario Bakalov said. “And
the fact that they were able to place at nationals is a testament to
how special they are.”
