Memorial Junior High School recently celebrated its annual Day of Sunshine event.
The event, coordinated by the Believe in the Rights and Values of Everyone (BRAVE) Committee, is held to brighten the spirits of students, faculty and administrators during the frigid winter season.
Students and faculty wore Hawaiian and brightly-colored shirts. Cafeteria tables were decorated with fun-colored tablecloths and summer music played during lunch periods. Hawaiian leis were available for $1. All funds raised will go to a local community organization.
