“Souper Bowl” Helps the Hungry

Valley Stream North High School’s Physical Education Leadership Class held a "Souper Bowl" food drive on Feb. 12 to collect non-perishable items for the Interfaith Nutrition Network in Hempstead. Two groups of students volunteered at the building’s two entrances to collect donations from classmates and faculty members. Their efforts and generosity filled two shopping carts with more than 300 items. The class will further support the INN on March 30, when students plan to visit the facility to deliver more donations and offer assistance.
